1. What can I expect at my first visit to The Fitness Studio?
You can expect to have a thorough consultation with your trainer, including review of your health and fitness history, past and present injuries, discussion of your objectives for personalized training, and an opportunity to address any concerns or questions you may have. Your trainer will evaluate your level of fitness through a series of tests so that a customized training program can be established for you.

2. How can I obtain the special offer for a complimentary evaluation and training session?

3. How much does it cost?
Rates are dependent upon what type of training or therapy you are interested in, how often you would like to come in, and if you purchase as single sessions or in blocks of multiple sessions. Please send us a message regarding your wants and needs.

4. What are the benefits of personal training at The Fitness Studio?
First of all, we have some of the most experienced and successful trainers for you to work with inside a bright, clean, and open space, and an energetic atmosphere. The benefits of personal training are multi-fold. You will have more energy and feel better about yourself by committing to improvement, through living a healthier lifestyle. You will start to make better choices throughout the day and over the course of time you will become stronger, increase your endurance, and achieve better balance and stability.

5. When will I see results?
This depends on what kind of results we’re talking about. You may have more energy within a matter of hours or a few days. Fat loss or weight loss will occur as quickly a few days to a few weeks depending on your lifestyle choices. To see increased strength and actual muscle size it will take 6-8 weeks. For an overall feeling of well-being and a sense of better strength, it could be a matter of just a few weeks.

6. I’m a performance athlete. Will The Fitness Studio provide enough of a challenge for me?
There are several options for individuals who already performing at high levels. For many, HIIT training (high intensity interval training) will challenge even the elite athlete. If you want sport-specific training, then we suggest focusing on individual or semi-private personal training with one of our fitness coaches who specialize in that sport.

7. I’ve never found a workout that I want to stick to. Will this be fun and keep me engaged?
We are very confident at The Fitness Studio that you will find your sessions fun and engaging because you will not do the same workout twice. Of course you might repeat some exercises over time and there might be some favorites for each trainer, but no workout is exactly the same. We can always make adjustments in order to create a new demand for you.

8. Will I lose weight?
Exercise alone will probably not do it. It’s a simple equation – burn more calories than you take in – but it’s a complex solution. If you think that you can simply workout and eat anything you want, then you’re going to have a harder time losing weight. However, if you have the right mindset, some good nutritional guidance, some discipline and the right follow through then this could be one element in the recipe for success. 9. Will the training make me bulky?
This can be a concern for women and for some men as well. If you want to be a competitive body builder, we can find a trainer for you, though that’s not really our specialty. Chances are though, that your muscles will get to a point where they’re strong without becoming bulky. In most cases, it takes quite a bit of time to actually bulk up. Additionally, if you find that your body is changing in a way you don’t want or like, we will re-evaluate your training program and make appropriate adjustments.

10. Can I still benefit if I am not physically flexible?
This is an issue that is important to address because having a limited range of motion through a joint or joints can limit the exercises you can perform and can lead to injuries. In most instances, there is an underlying cause to the limited range of motion. Your trainer will help identify the cause(s) and work to increase your flexibility and mobility using specific movements and exercises.

11. How difficult is the training? I am afraid I cannot keep up.
You will be exercising at your own pace under the close supervision of your trainer. Most of the exercises will be new to you therefore you will start slowly and work your way up. Your individual plan will, in a stepwise fashion, get you where you want to be while minimizing the chances of injury and muscle soreness.

12. What if I am new to exercise or out of shape?
If you’re new to exercise, coming to The Fitness Studio is one of the best choices you can make. There are endless benefits to establishing a fitness program and working one-on-one with a personal trainer. We have many years of experience working with individuals who have been inactive for periods of time. Please call us today and we’ll get you started.

13. What are the hours of business at The Fitness Studio?
There are no set hours at The Fitness Studio. Our facility operates by appointment. You and your trainer or therapist will determine the best time for your sessions, depending on your schedule. Most trainers and therapists start early, and can accommodate evening sessions, Monday through Saturday. Even Sundays are an option with some trainers.

14. Can I work out at The Fitness Studio if I am not with a trainer?
Yes, if you are a current personal training client, you are allowed unlimited use of all cardiovascular equipment at any time. This consists of elliptical trainers, treadmills, rowing machine, and the stationary and recumbent bikes. All other equipment is used under the supervision of your trainer.

15. How many times per week do I see a trainer and what kinds of results can I expect?
If your goal is weight loss and muscle toning, an excellent plan is to work out with a trainer 2-3 times per week. In addition, consider adding 30-40 minutes of cardiovascular exercise 3-4 times per week. You will get great results, both in changing your body image and in improving your health.
